The Jason Henry Memorial Scholarship
On January 31st, 2013 an incredibly amazing friend of mine – Jason Henry – lost his life to unfortunate gun violence in Brooklyn, New York. In honor of him, along with his mother Andrea Henry, some of his closest friends and classmates (Ainsley, Akeem, Andrew, Anika, Anisah, Jessika, Jamilia, Myriam, Raze, Trent, Qualon), along with many others and I helped to co-found and sustain an annual scholarship to be awarded at our alma mater – S.T.A.R. Early College High School at Erasmus.
